Nestle IBCLC would be a nightmarish oxymoron for any olden day breastfeeding advocate. Today it is an acceptable reality. It took longer to implement Ignaz Semmelweis’s ideas about hand washing than it took to indoctrinate IBCLCs into working hand in hand with formula manufacturers.

Nestle IBCLC

Nestle is buying IBCLCs to push formula in hospitals just like they used to buy doctors and nurses. Congratulations are in order to IBCLCs – they have been successful in being accepted as clinical specialists in infant nutrition.

Nestle IBCLC Formula Push

There is no law that can protect the public from the IBCLCs who will use their credentials to promote formula through healthcare facilities. Just like there is no law to protect the public from formula marketing through healthcare sector.
